Taking advice from the always wisdom filled folk over at Love My Dress, today is all about how to plan a legal ceremony alongside the big shabang. The ceremony is often the formal bit, a little more traditional and law abiding before celebrating with a big blow out. So, following their advice...here are their best tips on how to plan your legal ceremony.

WORK OUT WHAT YOU WANT FROM IT

Firstly, who do you want there? Just you two or a treasured family few? Either way make sure you stick to your guns about the guest list. Daniella from Love My Dress suggests treating it like a rehearsal dinner, with parents and the wedding party getting together before the big day to do the official bit.

KEEP THE LEGAL BIT SIMPLE

Go easy on the vows, sack off the readings and save the ring exchange for when you've got a professional photographer to capture the moment.

KEEP IT QUIET

I'm a bit of an old lady when it comes to sharing your life on social media but thankfully Love My Dress agrees and recommends not posting anything about the legal ceremony on your social pages. That way, no-one feel as though they were missed off the list!

So there you have it, a few ways to keep your legal ceremony, quick, easy and straight to the point. Good luck to all those brides-to-be preparing to walk down the aisle this weekend!
