HOW TO FIND YOUR PERFECT WEDDING DRESS

Even if you think you’ve found the one (the dress that is)…don’t act too quickly. So many girls buy the dress they thought they never would, so don’t be surprised if you fall in love with the last thing you’d pin on Pinterest.

LOCATION IS IMPORTANT TOO

The location of your wedding will make a difference to the style of dress that you opt for. So, before you go hunting through the rails be sure you’ve chosen your venue and got it all locked in. That way you can get a vision for how you might look, in your big dress, on your big day.

OFF THE BEATEN TRACK

Just because everyone you know got their dress there, doesn’t mean it’s going to be right for you. High profile bridal stores are great but if you’re shape is a little more unique, and your taste is too, try a more specialised store and you’ll find the right fit.

SET A BUDGET & STICK TO IT

If you’re blowing your budget on your dress or you’re keeping to a more modest financial plan for your wedding, be sure to set yourself a budget. Get that figure straight in your head before you fall in love with a dress that flatters your physical figure but not your financial one.

QUALITY CONTROL

Opt for the highest quality you can afford. Some bridal designers have been doing their thing for decades and they know how to do it right, so if a heritage brand is in your budget then opt for that, if not opt for something inspired by the golden oldies.

SAVVY SAMPLES

Keep an eye out for those designer sample sales. Great if you’re a size 10-12, you can get a bargain bridal beaut with a label that’ll have you feeling (and looking) a bajillion dollars.
