THAT'S A WRAP

Often overlooked, (mostly by the boys) is the art of a well wrapped Christmas present. We take so long pondering over which baubles to get before spending an entire Sunday dressing the pines…then we throw a load of crappy presents under the tree because we’ve had too much Baileys to be able to put them together all nicely with a bow.

Well, it’s not that difficult people. And frankly, the gift you’re giving should look as nice on the outside as it does once it’s been unwrapped. Go quaint and tie it right with a candy cane accessory or go full on foliage and spruce (get it?) your presents to the max.

Here are a few of our favourite festive present festooning ideas…

ALL IS CALM, ALL IS WHITE

Understated and just a little whimsical, wrap gifts in crisp white paper and pair with a contrasting ribbon or gift tag. You can add a little shimmer at this point too for a look that says ‘Stay classy Christmas.’

A PERSONAL TOUCH

Don’t end up giving Grandma an Xbox and your fella a marzipan fruit selection this year. In the words of Christmas Queen, Beyonce…if they’d like it then you should’ve put a tag on it (well sort of in her words). Don’t scribble their names on the back, choose out a swing tag with style and practice your best handwriting skills.

GET INTO THE FESTIVE FOLIAGE SPIRIT

Green looks good with anything. Haul up on holly or snip away at the back of the Christmas tree to add a little foliage. Fern, holly or eucalyptus…smells good, looks good…best present design goes to…..YOU.
