THE CHRISTMAS GLOW

I don't know if you're like me, but as soon as the winter hits my lips seem to shrivel up like gnarly autumnal leaves all crispy and creased. Not a good look and far from mistletoe ready.

So, how do all those beautiful folk of the world keep their skin looking dewy and frost kissed instead of Rudolph red and blotchy? Well let's start with my pet hate...chapped lips.

CHAPPED LIPS

Your lips are the first place both winter and dehydration rear their beauty busting heads. Learn to read your lips, they're a tell tale sign of what's about to happen to your skin and a good way to know how well you're taking care of yourself. So, brush them gently with your toothbrush, once you've finished brushing your teeth, and lather up with Chapstick.

SATSUMAS AREN'T JUST FOR STOCKINGS

It's an old classic, but that's because it works. Chow down on more citrus fruits to get a decent dose of Vitamin C or even apply directly onto your face. Pop these vitamins straight on your skin and you'll C (do you see what I did there...?) the difference a whole lot quicker.

DRINK MORE

Elle Macpherson does it and she looks younger than I do in my primary school class picture, and a whole lot prettier too for that matter. So remember to drink more...water! Two litres a day should do it, or more if you can manage and you'll have a more radiant, healthier and younger-looking complexion in no time.

THE GIFT OF GIVING

Seeing as it's the season of good will and gifting, treat yourself to a facial treatment. Book it in for the 1st of December, ahead of all the parties and family get togethers, and you're skin cells will be fresh and photo ready.
